SEMINAR OUTLINE:  CEMENT INTEGRITY LOGGING

SUMMARY: This quantitative course covers all topics needed to calculate cement strength and bond index in both neat and light weight cements. Analysis of both modern and older style cement integrity logs is stressed. Numerous examples are used to illustrate CBL, VDL, CMT, CET, and USI logs are presented. Casing and tubing inspection logs and a case history are also covered.

COURSE LEVEL: Beginner to Intermediate, calculator required.

REFERENCE MANUAL: Course manuals are included in course fee, or can be ordered separately.
  Crain's Cement Integrity, 55 pages.

DURATION: 1 day - 8 Professional Development Hours (PDH)

BENEFITS:

  • provides understanding of cement strength and bond log response

  • provides understanding of CBL tool theory and practice

  • provides "computer ready" mathematics

  • gives insight into log quality problems that affect cement analysis

  • permanent reference material
