These are my personal reference pages based mostly on photos of models taken from the websites of fine scale model suppliers. Photos of models are usually better than extant photos of the original; they are often in colour, have good lighting, appropriate viewing angle, attention to detail, and no obstructions in front of the critical part. The Four Wheelers: the coal car sides could be removed to make flat cars.

Reeferss: 30 foot and 40 foot cars, reefer yellow

Wrong body colourr but lettering is correct layout

Coal cars and drop bottom gons: 26 and 30 foot cars, box car red

Box  Cars: 27 to 30 foot cars, box car red or Silverton yellow

Stock Cars: 27 to 34 foot cars, painted black or very dark green

Flat Cars: 27 to 40 foot cars, box car red
